Update: HB136 passed out of the committee by a vote of 11-4 with one Republican voting with the Democrats against the bill.
Please help us get HB 136 passed out of the House Public Safety Committee under the Gold Dome tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023. It’s easy to help! The committee meeting is scheduled for 11:00 AM in Room 506, CLOB.
An old saying goes that “you cannot change something until you measure it…” We want Georgians to have access to detailed, up-to-date public information of at least part of Georgia’s crime problem as related to criminal aliens.
We want HB 136 to be law. Before it can become law, it must pass out of its first committee, which is the House Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, which will hear HB 136 tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 16 at 11:00 AM.
HB 136 is a simple and short bill that will change state law so as to require the Dept. of Corrections to post a public quarterly report showing us the total number foreign nationals and of illegal aliens in the prison system, their crimes and their nations of birth. It will also show the percentage of the total prison population that are foreign born.
We hope you will help HB 136 pass out by contacting each of the Republican members of the Public Safety committee using the links on their names pasted in below. Just click a committee members name and send an email and/or make a short cal to their Capitol office. Just leave a message with the nice young staffer – “Please tell Rep.__________ we called and that we are watching to see HB 136 pass out. Thank you…”
That’s is! That is all you need to do. Please. I will wash your car! This will take you about five minutes.
Please be advised that the corporate-funded illegal alien lobby is calling right now. Please don’t be silent!
