President Donald Trump is threatening to withhold visas from countries that refuse to accept deported citizens from the United States out of concern stemming from the coronavirus pandemic.

Trump issued a memo late Friday, ordering acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf to notify the State Department of any government that refuses to accept deportees from the U.S.

Upon notification, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo would have seven days to impose visa sanctions, making it harder — and likely impossible — for citizens of those countries to obtain U.S. visas.

The memo dramatically ratcheted up pressure on governments, particularly in Central America, to keep allowing deportation flights into their countries.

“Considering the profound and unique public health risks posed by the novel (new) coronavirus known as SARS-CoV-2, the need for that cooperation and timely and effective implementation is greater than ever before,” the memo reads.

“Countries that deny or unreasonably delay the acceptance of their citizens, subjects, nationals, or residents from the United States during the ongoing pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 create unacceptable public health risks for Americans,” the memo continued. “The United States must be able to effectuate the repatriation of foreign nationals who violate the laws of the United States.” Read the rest here.

Building managers in state Capitols around the Southeast would do well to instruct their maintenance staffs to stock up on gloves, mops, buckets, slime removal equipment, extra disinfectant and perhaps installing shower stalls for use by the Capitol workers who can’t go home during the day to clean up.

You read correctly. The open borders, SPLC hate mongers are advertising for a Director of Government Relations. This will be a real hoot.

One can only imagine the stampede of race-baiting, open borders Marxists preparing their resume for transmission to what has become known to many as the “Poverty Palace” in Montgomery.

Advice to the prospective applicant: Make it clear on top of the page that you will happily and dutifully fight any immigration enforcement and “smear today, smear tomorrow and smear forever” in search of donations to help SPLC founder Morris redecorate El Rancho Dees’ –again – to get an employment interview

Oh, to be a fly on the wall for the hiring interviews.

Having been defeated in numerous state legislatures on immigration enforcement – including Georgia’s – and left to smolder on the sidelines while pro-enforcement activists see effective and productive enforcement laws put in place each year, the charlatans at SPLC will soon have an out-in-the-open lobbying effort.

As a long time denizen of the Gold-Domed Georgia Capitol, I am delirious with anticipation and excitement at the prospect of dealing with SPLC lobbyist-critter in any committee hearing on the immigration legislation coming in the 2012 Georgia Legislative session. Controlled by the GOP. That has passed meaningful immigration enforcement-related legislation every year since 2005. Including this year.

That has to hurt professional pride, certainly the leftist agenda and likely the reputation among the open borders crazies who depend on the endless smears and direction from the SPLC.

I am reminded of the first time I had dealings with the SPLC mob. I wanted to compare Morris Dees to the late TV Evangelist Jim Bakker. But alas, his former partner, Millard Farmer, had already done that, “He’s the Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker of the civil rights movement…though I don’t mean to malign Jim and Tammy Faye…” Bless their now departed hearts.

I wanted to write that I see Dees as “a fraud and a con man.” But in 1996 well-known writer Stephen Bright beat me to it in Harper’s magazine.

Or “Dees is a Fear monger, Profiteer and Hypocrite”…nope, already been done – Paul Hall, Managing Editor, the in Midpines, California.

From the in suburban Washington, D.C., editorial ”Lump of Coal” on Morris Dees and the SPLC in December 2003: “…a bunch of slick, parasitic hucksters who live high on the hog by raising money on behalf of needy people who never see a dime of it.”Rule of law, pro-American state legislators should prepare for the sure to come salvo of “hate-speech” smears from the Che Guevara t-shirt-clad SPLC lobbyists when there is actual discussion of an equal application of the law, protecting American workers and driving the hordes of illegal aliens out of the U.S.

Re: Demand for Retraction and Apology

Dear Mr. Chapman, Jr.:

I write on behalf of my client, the Dustin Inman Society (DIS), to demand an immediate retraction and apology for the defamatory statements published in your October 7, 2024, article titled “Democrats in this Georgia district are backing a write-in candidate” by Tia Mitchell.

Through use of internet links, the AJC article wrongfully characterizes the Dustin Inman Society as a “Marietta-based anti-immigration hate group.” This characterization is false, defamatory, and published with actual malice. The Dustin Inman Society pushes for secure borders, is not “anti-immigration” and its proprietors do not hate anyone. Rather, DIS advocates for enforcement of U.S. immigration laws and actively opposes unlawful immigration. This distinction is crucial and well-known to staff at your publication.

I paste the offending paragraph from the AJC story:

“A search of activity under her birth name, Karen Sacandy, which Stamper legally changed in 2019, showed that she previously was aligned with a Marietta-based anti-immigration hate group. The group’s website often linked to Sacandy’s activities, like a letter seeking information about the state’s Immigration Enforcement Review Board and a copy of a letter to the editor supporting legislation to prevent immigrants claiming asylum from obtaining driver’s licenses.”

We note the AJC informs readers that the Dustin Inman Society “often” linked to Karen Sacandy/Kate Stamper activities — but produces only two occasions.

Your story, for which DIS founder and president D.A. King was not contacted, informs readers that Sacandy/Stamper “was aligned” with the Dustin Inman Society. We note that polls show that a majority of Americans oppose the federal offense of illegal immigration. Since the letter posted on the DIS site was a published missive to the editor at the Cherokee Tribune, we must ask: does this make that newspaper a “Cherokee County-based anti-immigration hate group”?

Your characterization demonstrates a reckless and vindictive disregard for the truth, rising to the level of actual malice as defined in New York Times Co. v. Sullivan. Actual malice in defamation law refers to publication of a statement with knowledge that it is false or with reckless disregard of whether it is false or not. Your repeated mischaracterization of the Dustin Inman Society, despite having been corrected on numerous occasions, clearly meets this standard.

The Dustin Inman Society’s position on immigration is clear and public:

1. It supports sustainable levels of legal immigration through established channels.

2. It opposes unlawful immigration due to various societal concerns, including: – Strain on public resources and services
– Potential and real public safety issues
– Economic impacts on low-wage American workers and America’s poor

– Challenges to the rule of law

3. The Dustin Inman Society defends legal immigrants when media attempt to blur the difference between them and illegal aliens.

Moreover, the Dustin Inman Society’s board includes lawful immigrants who have navigated the proper channels for authorized immigration. This fact alone should dispel any notion that the organization is “anti-immigration.” As he has informed you multiple times over much of the last two decades, D.A. King’s sister is a real, legal immigrant.

While we acknowledge that the Southern Poverty Law Center has designated the Dustin Inman Society as an “anti-immigrant hate group that denigrates all immigrants,” your article presents the “anti-immigration hate group” characterization as the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s independent assessment and statement of fact.

This smear is not only demonstrably false and ignores Mr. King’s many communications to you advising you of the truth, but also demonstrates an exceedingly unprofessional failure to fact-check and verify information before publication.

We demand that the Atlanta Journal Constitution:

1. Immediately publicly retract the defaming statement in the October 7, 2024, article.

2. Publish a prominent apology, equal in visibility and placement to the original defamatory article.

3. Cease and desist from further defamatory characterizations of the Dustin Inman Society.

Failure to comply with these demands may result in further legal action. We expect your prompt attention to this matter and await your timely response.
