DACA has been ruled to be illegal several times in federal court. Illegal aliens with DACA are still illegal aliens!
Dear fellow pro-enforcement conservatives at the Appling County GOP: You may want to ask Rep Werkheiser about his cosponsoring HB 131 by Dalton’s Rep. Kasey Carpenter along with a list of very liberal Democrats.
HB 131 is a bill that would give illegal aliens with Obama’s illegal DACA status lower tuition rates in Georgia’s public colleges than what Americans and legal immigrants from other states can pay. They are calling it “Opportunity Tuition.” The bill also relabels the illegal aliens as “Opportunity Students.” Carpenter and his cosponsors have decided to sell the bill as “workforce development” at the urging of dollar-first business interests.
In a committee hearing in February, a long list of far-left, anti-borders lobbyists testified in favor of the very California-like bill to pass. We spoke against it.
Here is the difference in instate tuition and out of state tuition at Kennesaw State University here in the Atlanta area. The DACA illegals in GA would only pay 10% more than the instate rate while Americans and legal immigrants from other states pay the full out-of-state rate.
–>Difference in cost to students (per semester) between instate & out of state rate: $5627.16
* Difference in a typical 15 hour course load (per semester): $ 7034.00
Total difference in instate and out of state tuition rates if a student attends KSU for Spring, Summer and Fall semesters with 15 hours: $21,102.00.
Does Rep Werkheiser really want to put Americans and legal immigrants in line behind illegal aliens? (yes). Do you?
You can read HB 131 here. You are welcome to contact me for details.
Please send a real pro-enforcement conservative to the Gold Dome in Atlanta? There is more…
Thank you,

* The judge previously ruled DACA illegal in 2021
A federal judge in Texas has again ruled that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which protects undocumented immigrants who were brought to the US as youngsters, is illegal.
Judge Andrew Hanen, of the Southern District of Texas, ruled that DACA violated the Administrative Procedure Act, which sets out how agencies make regulations.
The ruling does not impact anyone currently protected under DACA, but the judge banned the government from approving anyone else for it.
“To be clear, neither this order nor the accompanying supplemental injunction requires the (Department of Homeland Security) or the Department of Justice to take any immigration, deportation, or criminal action against any DACA recipient, applicant, or any other individual that would otherwise not be taken,” Judge Hanen wrote.
The states argued that the Obama administration circumvented Congress and did not have the authority to create DACA in 2012…
