Coming to America: ‘Migrants’ push past southern Mexican border city
New York Post
October 24, 2021
Thousands of migrants mostly from Central America broke out of the Mexican southern border city of Tapachula and continued their march toward the US, more than 1,000 miles away.
Over 2,000 migrants pushed past a line of state authorities who were positioned to block their progress. Some minor scuffles left a small child injured.
The migrants — some of who were carrying American flags and signs with President Joe Biden’s name — walked to a nearby town to camp on a baseball field for the night, according to Fox News.
A man from Honduras said he had been in Tapachula for two months, waiting for an answer on his visa request.
“They told me I had to wait because the appointments were full,” said José Antonio, a construction worker who declined to give his last name. “There is no work there so out of necessity I joined this group.”

Biden sets a record – 2 Million Migrants Cross Border Between Ports of Entry During Past 12 Months
From Breitbart News
23 October 2021
More than two million migrants illegally crossed the border from Mexico into the United States during Fiscal Year 2021. The crossings include 1.66 million apprehended by Border Patrol agents and an estimated 400,000 classified as “got aways.”
Border Patrol agents apprehended a record-setting 1,659,206 migrants who illegally crossed the border from Mexico during the recently ended fiscal year, according to the Southwest Border Land Encounters report released on Friday by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials. Additionally, nearly 400,000 more migrants are estimated to be “got aways,” information received from Border Patrol officials revealed.
“The men and women of CBP continued to rise admirably to the challenge, despite the strain associated with operating during a global pandemic that has claimed far too many lives among our frontline personnel,” CBP Acting Commissioner Troy Miller said in a written statement. “CBP will continue its work to ensure safety and security at our borders, while managing a fair and orderly immigration system, and facilitating the legitimate trade and travel that is vital to the American economy.”
The apprehension of nearly 1.66 million migrants who illegally crossed the border between ports of entry represents an increase of nearly 315 percent over the previous fiscal year’s total of 400,651, the report indicates. The apprehension of migrant families skyrocketed by more than 763 percent. Unaccompanied minor apprehensions jumped by 374 percent and single adults by 235 percent.
The Rio Grande Valley Sector continues to lead the nine sectors located along the southwest border with Mexico. Agents in this sector apprehended nearly 550,00 migrants — an increase of nearly 506 percent over the previous year’s total of just over 90,000.
This is followed by the Del Rio Sector with nearly 260,000 apprehensions — an increase of 543 percent over the 40,342 apprehended in FY2020.
The five Texas-based sectors account for 1,151,796 of the southwest border apprehensions (69 percent). Those include more than 683,000 single adults, 355,000 family units, and 113,700 unaccompanied minors. Read the rest here.
The liberal AJC: There they go again, again – even a false promise of crackdown on criminal aliens is an “anti-immigration vow” #BrianKemp
The liberal Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper finally ran a story earlier this month on the fact that Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp made several detailed 2018 campaign promises on “criminal illegals,” sanctuary cities and the creation of a registry of criminal aliens but has not followed up with even a mention, much less action.
We have been pushing this story for years: “Kemp risks defeat by ignoring illegal immigration”
We have set up a counter tracking the days since Kemp made his promises, created not one but two Brian Kemp files, posted letters of outrage from retired immigration agents, tweeted the #BigTruckTrick a gazillion times and created and repeatedly posted several memes in an attempt to make it easier tor Republican voters to remember back two whole years in politics. And that Georgia is home to more illegal aliens than Arizona. And that Georgians are being murdered, raped, kidnapped and molested by the criminal aliens Kemp used to win the GOP primary.
We were happy to draft the Kemp resolution that passed in at least two county GOP meetings.
We don’t think the Democrat AJC really wanted to do this story because it may wake up too many Republican voters. AJC file here (old) and here.
In keeping with its tradition of convincing readers that immigration enforcement – even a crackdown on criminal aliens – is somehow “anti-immigration,” the AJC online headline the evening before the paper version came to our door was “Kemp’s anti-immigration vows could complicate bid for second term.”
There was considerable Twitter notice of the headline that night. The next morning the dead tree edition headline on the same report told us that “Kemp immigration pledge may snarl bid for 2nd term.”
The Greg Bluestein report talks about conservatives who have been pushing back on Kemp’s total silence on his tough talk on illegal immigration in Georgia and his promised legislation. No names were mentioned.
The original online headline was later changed to “Kemp’s immigration policy could complicate bid for second term.”
Pro-enforcement is apparently controversial “policy?”
We don’t see any note of change/edits or correction in any of the stories. But that is normal for the liberal AJC.
This is and has been SOP for the Kevin Riley-led AJC. Is it intentional agenda-driven deceit or woke dimwits at the copy desk?
We think both.
But they never seem to run stories telling readers that MADD is an anti-driving or anti-automobile effort.
We sometimes forget that not everyone knows the anti-enforcement AJC served as dinner Chair for a MALDEF funder here and that the AJC has supported open borders.
Dustin Inman Society board member Inger Eberhart on Insider Advantage Georgia – SoS candidate Bee Nguyen’s “Freedom to Drive Act” for illegal aliens
The below originally ran on the subscription Insider Advantage Georgia website, October 15, 2021. It is reposted here with permission.
_______
Many thanks to InsiderAdvantage for your recent profile on Rep. Bee Nguyen (Nguyen among a crowded field in Secretary of State’s race). I found it quite informative and provided useful insight into her background. It is vitally important to get an idea of the beliefs and priorities of a potential constitutional office holder.
I would like to add information on Nguyen’s position regarding at least one aspect of illegal immigration that most voters will find relevant in their decision process on selecting a candidate for next year’s Secretary of State race. Including at our pro-enforcement house, she is unlikely to find support from anyone who wants to make Georgia unattractive to illegal immigration and voter fraud.
Nguyen is the sponsor of HB 833 also known as the “Freedom to Drive Act” which would reward illegal aliens who don’t already have a Georgia driver’s license and or state ID Card with a “Driving Card” and/or an official ID card. The official permission to drive and use state ID would apply to virtually all the estimated 400,000 illegal aliens in Georgia as well as any of the hordes of illegal aliens who have been welcomed into the U.S. by the Biden administration and who have Georgia on their mind as a homestead destination.
The 20,000 illegal aliens living in Georgia who are recipients of the Obama era DACA status already have access to the exact same driver’s license the Department of Drivers Services issues to legal immigrants and guest workers here with legal visas.
The official nod for “undocumented workers” to drive lawfully would extend to commercial operations as well.
Dustin Inman Society President D.A. King has warned about this legislation and provided background on the failed attempt by Tennessee to provide security or transparency in almost an identical concept in 2004. “Tennessee ended that adventure after two years and a federal investigation that exposed the extreme level of fraud, bribery and the fact that illegal aliens from other states were flocking to Tennessee to get ‘documented’ Georgia is already home to more illegal aliens than Arizona. Most of us don’t want to make it easier for them to vote,” wrote King.
I join him in noting that “in Bee Nguyen’s proposed change to state law, documents used by illegal aliens on the application for ID and driving credentials could not be used for a state criminal investigation unless there was an order by a federal judge. That includes the application itself.” There is more.
Conservative voters may believe this legislation is far too extreme to be taken seriously by leaders under the Gold Dome. I respectfully urge those who would dismiss the possibility of passage in the GOP-controlled legislature to consider the power of the special interest groups who will push behind the scenes for passage in the name of a “mobile workforce” and “Number One for Business…”
Would Gov. Brian Kemp sign such a bill if it did pass?
